Matamoras Area Historical Society Museum
The Matamoras Area Historical Society Museum was built, circa 1895, as the home and business of a funeral director. The building has also been a bank, the US Post Office, a hardware store, a public library, and, since 1988, the museum.
The museum is open Fridays from 9am until noon and other times by appointment. Come in for a visit and browse through all the interesting rooms. There are also census records, family histories and records for research.

Grandview Township's First Trustees Journal 1803-1843
The Matamoras Area Historical Society, Inc.has had this original Grandview Township Journal printed. Originally 169 pages measuring 8 x 12 1/2 inches, the paper has frayed and darkened, the ink (some of it pokeberry) has faded. Transcribing the book has been a task of four years. The book is printed in its original text; explanations and comments have been made in extensive footnotes to each page. The book is printed on acid free paper. There are four indexes: biogaphical, chronological, geographical and topical.
The cost is $25.00 each. Postage is $3.00 per book. Ohio residents please add appropriate sales tax to your order.
